Square Rose Gold

Square Rose Gold, originally uploaded by redcatrun.

I made this ring in a gorgeous 10kt rose gold which shimmers in the light.

It's burnished to a matte satin sheen and just wears with simple elegance on the ring or little finger.

It also looks pretty darned good paired with a sterling silver square to wear as twins!

Your rings are simple and very beautiful. Ideal for a lifelong wedding band for sure! I decided against a diamond engagement ring for various reasons, but now I'm discovering that metal mining also hurts people and the environment. As a metalsmith, have you thought about the negative implications of metal mining?

It is a big concern.
I have been sourcing recycled gold from a variety of places and can offer this option in a limited capacity now.

have you ever worked with green gold? i am wondering if i am confusing you with another designer or if i came across a very similar ring, but with a greenish hue.

I do work with green gold on a regular basis - its is an alloy with less copper and more silver which gives the gold a far blonder hue. It is quite a beautiful metal to work with and to wear.
